A tiny game pickup
Choose a 16 × 16 grid, draw a bright silhouette with the pencil, then flood-fill its interior. Export at 1× for a native 16 × 16 sprite.
Draw a small sprite one cell at a time using pointer or keyboard controls. Pick a palette color, fill connected areas, erase to transparency, and export at an exact integer scale.
Transparent cells show a checkerboard in the editor. Grid lines and the cursor are omitted from PNGs. Up to 50 undo steps; resizing starts a new canvas. Save before leaving this page.
Drag to draw. Keyboard: focus the canvas, use arrow keys to move, then Space or Enter to paint the selected cell.
Selected cell: column 1, row 1; transparent.
Image processing and generated artwork stay in your browser. Files are not uploaded by this tool.
Start with the heart example or choose a new 8, 16, 24, or 32 pixel square canvas. Choosing a new canvas clears the previous drawing.
Use the pencil, eraser, or flood fill. Drag on the canvas, or focus it and use arrow keys followed by Space or Enter.
Use undo or redo to revise your work, set an integer export scale, and download a transparent PNG.
Choose a 16 × 16 grid, draw a bright silhouette with the pencil, then flood-fill its interior. Export at 1× for a native 16 × 16 sprite.
Draw on a 24 × 24 grid and export at 16× to create a 384 × 384 PNG. Each logical pixel becomes a crisp 16 × 16 block without smoothing.
The pencil connects pointer positions with integer grid lines so a fast drag does not leave random gaps. Flood fill replaces the selected color in regions connected up, down, left, and right. Diagonally touching regions are separate. The eraser restores true transparent cells rather than painting a background color.
The editor keeps up to 50 history snapshots. A pointer stroke is one undo step; individual keyboard paints are separate steps. Clearing the canvas is undoable, while changing its dimensions starts a new history. The PNG contains only colored cells and transparency: the editor grid, checkerboard, and selected-cell outline are omitted.
Yes. Tab to the canvas, move the selected cell with arrow keys, and press Space or Enter to apply the active tool. Palette and tool controls are also keyboard accessible.
No. The drawing stays in this page’s memory. Download the PNG before navigating away; there is no automatic cloud save or local project persistence.
This editor starts from a blank canvas or its original heart example. It does not import image files. Use the Sprite Sheet Generator to combine existing sprites.
