Prepare a contact import
From name, team, score, email, keep name and email. The output header and every record contain exactly those two columns.
Build a smaller CSV for a report, import, or handoff. Select columns by both name and position, arrange their output order, and preview the resulting records before export.
172 / 500,000 characters. Processing stays in this browser.
Limits: 10,000 data records, 200 columns, 200,000 cells. Fields remain text, including long IDs and leading zeros. Duplicate and blank headers are identified by column number.
All parsing and exports run locally in your browser. Example records are original fictional data, not an external dataset.
Load a CSV with its delimiter and header setting.
Select the columns to keep. Use the up and down controls to set output order.
Review the extracted table, choose export protection, and copy or download the CSV.

If two headers are named value, the column numbers distinguish them. You can keep either one or both without overwriting data.
Initially all columns are selected. Clearing a selection removes that column from the output, and selecting it again appends it to the chosen order. Up and down controls move a selected column earlier or later. The tool requires at least one column; headers move with their corresponding values.
Column extraction happens after quote-aware parsing, so a comma or line break inside a cell does not shift the remaining values. Rows are never joined on header text, and cell values are never inferred as numbers. Long account IDs, empty fields, leading zeros, and repeated header names therefore remain predictable.
An extracted file still contains the full values of the selected columns. The table shortens very long previews only; downloads retain full content. Check the column selection before sharing data. Formula protection prefixes active-looking spreadsheet cells, and the optional BOM changes file encoding presentation rather than column selection.
Yes. The positional label identifies blank and duplicate headers without needing to rename them.
The tool allows each source column once. Select and reorder the unique columns you need.
No. Extraction retains record order and all selected record values. Use the related deduplicator for a separate matching decision.
