Six-team tournament
Six teams use an eight-slot bracket with two byes. Seeds 1 and 2 advance to the second round, and five played matches produce a champion.
The first team is seed #1. Standard seeding places top seeds apart and gives them the available byes.
Single elimination, 2–128 teams. Byes advance automatically. Select a winner when both teams in a match are known.
Team names, seeding, and results are processed locally. No account or upload is required.

How seeding and byes work
The bracket expands to the next power of two. The difference between that slot count and the number of teams becomes first-round byes. Standard seed placement separates the top two seeds into opposite halves and distributes the byes to the highest seeds. Randomizing seeds shuffles the input before applying that placement.
Advancing winners and exporting
A match becomes selectable when both entrants are known. Changing a result resets all later-round selections so an earlier choice cannot leave an invalid champion. SVG exports show the current bracket and mark winners. Long team names are shortened in SVG boxes; the text export retains full names. Large brackets may need poster-size printing or a print scale adjustment.
What to know
- Single elimination only. Maximum 128 unique teams. SVG names longer than 28 characters are shortened.

Common questions
Do I need exactly 4, 8, 16, or 32 teams?
No. Any count from 2 through 128 works. The generator adds the necessary byes automatically.
Is there a third-place match or double elimination?
This generator creates a single-elimination bracket only. It does not include consolation matches, double elimination, group stages, or match times.
Are my results saved?
Results remain in this browser tab until you reload or clear it. Download a text or SVG copy to keep a record.
